Twins Baby Shower

A young mother at my church is about to have twin girls.  I was able to attend a baby shower for her last week and had the opportunity to make this card for her. I used the Baby Steps cartridge to create the cuts for the inside.  She adored the card and actually passed it around the room.  It's so fun to be able to see the joy on someone's face when you can give them such a unique card.  Thanks for stopping by and be blessed.  :)

Shape Card Sunday

Time for another shape card sunday challenge over at Sarah's.

We were to make a birthday shape card.  I used the Paisley cartridge.  I just love the two little owls that are on there.  I welded two shadows of this owl and then made his normal cut and the layers minus the black layer.  I knew I'd be put on some google eyes.  You know these little creatures just cry out for google eyes!
I then welded two little rectangles to the shadow shape so it would look like her little feet were holding the sentiment.  I inked the rectangle with ink pads in two colors that matched my main cardstock.  I also inked around the entire card.

I added a little black twine bow and also some black jewels.  It is stamped with a scrappy mom's stamp for the owl set...it says another year older...and wiser.

Take the challenge with us, it's always good to have birthday cards on hand! :) thanks for checking out my project and be blessed!

Crocs Rule?

I recently purchased this Cricut Lite Crocs Rule cartridge at my local Walmart.  It was clearanced out for 20.00.  I kept passing it up over and over again becuase it's not really my style, but I finally caved in and got it..  Being a mom of five girls there is not a lot of opportunity to use a "croc" theme.  Anyway, this is my first attempt using a cut from the cartridge.  The little fish is embossed and I just HAD to add some google eyes to my croc.  It's a fairly simple card.  The meaning is also simple...just when it feels like there is no hope...all things are possible with God!  Thanks for checking it out and be blessed.
