I saw this on a youtube video and thought it was great. Had all the supplies I needed, button, ribbon, double sided cardstock, paper trimmer, and adhesive. simple as cutting a few squares, a few folds and voila...adorable 3D star ornament. Next year, I think I'm going to make this an advent type calendar. Make up 25 in varying sizes and let them kids open one each day. Pretty cool!

Rosettes
I saw this tutorial on youtube for these rosettes and I fell in love! I knew I had to have a score board and I had my eye on the Martha Steware brand score board. Used a 40% off coupon and got the score board. This is such a simple little technique. Prior to purchasing the score board, I did attempt to just accordion fold a strip of paper. It turned out, but not very good, I'm afraid. I decided it was worth the purchase. I have found some other projects I'm anxious to try with the board as well. Thanks to a FB friend who sent me the stampin' up bags, I was able to complete these little treats for Lillian's classmates. I made the birdies with my three birds on parade cricut cartridge.
You can change the size of the rosettes just by making the strip of paper thinner.
Lay strip length wise and score every quarter inch.
You can see I made a couple different sizes
I stickled their hats and boots
Finished product!! She's excited to take them to school.

Sausage Egg & Cheese Muffins
My family will adore me for at least 24-48 hours.
Because we have a very busy Saturday, and, well.....just because I love them and all...I set about making these yummy sandwiches this morning during my usual showergetdressedandpresentablforthewalktothebusstop time.
An electric knife is GREAT for cutting even slices from your sausage roll. *WARNING* DO NOT UNWRAP YOUR ROLL. Cut right through it. I used I 16oz roll of breakfast sausage. Some sausage rolls have markings you can cut on, mine didn't...*pouts* but even without the markings I got 15 pretty even slices.
BONUS!! If I had gotten 16, they wouldn't have all fit in my pan! You really want them not to touch, I cheated a little. Live on the edge. Now, here's where you want to just walk away. I had my pan preheating on med/high and turned it up as I put in the meat. Only turned the meat once. Took about 10-15 minutes. Watch your heat, you may need to turn it down. Don't want to burn your little piggies!!
Here is the rest of the ingredients.
Sah-weet! My mouth is watering and you KNOW I already ate one.
Ok, here's where you could save time...but I think this step is important and always have done it. I toast my muffins. I guess I could have put them in the oven all at once to toast, but then you are heating up your oven...and really when you're cooking the meat, you might as well be pushing the toaster lever, right? I guess you could not toast at all, but this is how I roll.
I butter one side....had to turn my toaster up...I like em a little browned...
That's better, now take one slice of cheese and fold into fours and put two squares on the opposite side of the buttered side. Don't want them to just slide off, right?
Now, here's the tricky egg part. Sidebar...my Mother made eggs in the microwave for as long as I could remember. Scrambled eggs in the microwave are awesome. This part is a little redundant, but worth it if you want the M*donald style egg....break one egg in a coffee mug ( i used my longaberger mug) no oil or anything. Covered with paper towel and nuked on 45- 50 seconds. This is what I got. I ran a butter knife around the edge and it slides right out. Now, I had to do this 12 times. I guess I could have used more mugs, perhaps four and increased my time, maybe next time. I've yet to find another way to get the egg like this....
There, you have it. Layering and wrapping them up and you are done. I wrapped mine in plastic wrap and kept them on the cookie sheet. It was easier to store them in my fridge that is overflowing right now. I have to separate my meats from last grocery trip, so they are in there taking up lots of space.
It really did not take a long and would take even less time for the person not making a meal for 6 eaters. It took about 45 minutes to complete/ I'm sure there are quicker ways to do some of the things I did, but hey it's my process...so....
